Billionaire Bonanza

Whenever a murder is committed, any competent detective will ask, Who Benefits? A good detective attempts to establish a motive for the crime and this enables him or her to sort through the evidence to prepare a case and arrest the most likely suspect.

Without hesitation, we can say that the billionaire class benefitted enormously from the pandemic. According to a May 2022 study by Oxfam, entitled Profiting from Pain:

• There are 2,668 billionaires in the world, 573 more than in 2020 when the pandemic began.

• These billionaires are collectively worth $12.7 trillion; a real-terms increase of $3.78 trillion, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

• Total billionaire wealth is now the equivalent of 13.9% of global gross domestic product (GDP), up from 4.4% in 2000.

• The richest 10 men have greater wealth than the poorest 40% of humanity combined.

• The richest 20 billionaires are worth more than the entire GDP of sub-Saharan Africa.

• Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the world, is so rich that he could lose 99% of his wealth and still be in the top 0.0001% of the world’s richest people. Since 2019 his wealth has increased by 699%.

One thing that concerns this author is the constant referral by some members of the Freedom community to what is happening in Canada and the world as “communism”. Rather, it is technocracy and totalitarianism comprised of big tech corporatism in bed with the WHO, WEF and UN. If what we are experiencing is communism, then I would really hate to see what would happen if the so-called “communist” billionaires switched to capitalism. It is hard to imagine Elon Musk reading Das Kapital for inspiration on how to exploit the current crisis to make more money. Will the “communist” billionaires start a workers’ revolution to overthrow themselves?

On the surface, it may look like communism, but what we are experiencing is something far worse than communism. What makes psychopaths happy is to cause human suffering through fear, chaos and instability. They enjoy depriving us of love and human connection by degrading our social sphere of family and friends. This was the goal of social distancing, wearing masks and stay-at-home orders.

Wealth inequality is something our movement should be addressing loud and clear because it is factual, easily verifiable and there is no way for the mainstream media to spin it. CBC or CNN would not be able to defend or justify the billionaires’ insane profits over the last three years. The slogan of our movement could easily be changed to:

The utter corruption and selfishness of the billionaire class is in plain sight. Jeff Bezos used his massive windfall in profits to take a joyride to space. He took some time off from his busy schedule of extorting the working class to launch a rocket into space in 2022. Bezos has reportedly sunk a whopping $1 billion dollars a year into his space company, Blue Origin.

“It's dark up here, oh my word!” one of Bezos’ rocket passengers exclaimed as they hit the Karman Line, approximately 100 kilometres above the Earth.

Yes, it is dark in space, but it is increasingly dark down here. Maybe Bezos might allow Amazon staff bathroom breaks once in awhile now that he has had his fun. Or maybe not. It is difficult to understand the utter disregard for others and the contempt for humanity that is exhibited by the callous billionaire class.

In a 2006 New York Times interview, Warren Buffett arrogantly claimed, “There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning.” One thing about sociopaths that is a recurring theme: They love to rub your face in it. Buffett, elaborated that his class had leveraged their wealth and power to secure a favourable tax code.

The billionaire class need to be held accountable. They need to be reigned in and forced to pay taxes. Even the fact that none of them have stepped forward in this time of global crisis to offer financial help to the world implicates them. It makes them look very guilty. The fact that billionaire Bill Gates owns controlling interest in the private World Health Organisation ought to be a red flag to the helpless fools lining up to be injected with toxic chemicals.

The truth is the entire world is being vaccinated at a steady pace. The World Health Organisation projects the vaccine rollout will be completed this year once Africa is fully vaccinated.

The Davos Club of billionaires have implicated themselves by the evidence of their extreme wealth grab during the pandemic. The bad news is that there is nothing in the agendas and plans of the billionaire Davos Club that has long term benefits for humanity. The good news is that all their plans will fail and everything they have worked for will turn to ashes. If Jesus of Nazareth were here today, he might say, “What does it profit a man to vaccinate the world and lose his soul?”

What is needed is not more profits, but more prophets — speakers of truth, who are motivated and inspired by the greater good of humanity. The prophets of the 1960’s spoke out against the ruling class who were hell bent on engaging in a costly and futile war in Vietnam. When Martin Luther was assassinated in 1968, he had a 75% disapproval rating. Being on the right side of history is not always popular, but it is better to be hated for doing good than loved for doing evil.
