Elon Musk Trolls CBC
Listen to an audio reading of this article:
In an epic Twitter exchange, Elon Musk, trolled the CBC Monday. After labelling CBC’s Twitter account “government-funded media,” CBC spokesperson, Leon Mar protested loudly, “Twitter can be a powerful tool for our journalists to communicate with Canadians, but it undermines the accuracy and professionalism of the work they do to allow our independence to be falsely described in this way.”
CBC defended itself by claiming they were “only partially government funded,” to which Musk replied:
To add insult to injury, Musk updated CBC’s designation after the CBC quickly pointed out they were “less than 70% funded.”
As much as I distrust billionaires who act as saviours for the people, it is difficult not to gloat over Elon Musk’s obvious exposure of CBC’s hypocrisy. CBC decided to pause their activity on Twitter until further notice.
Editor in chief Brodie Fenlon said the pause of CBC News accounts was necessary, because, “It is important to take a moment to assess what Twitter has done. That is why we have pressed pause today on our accounts. Our journalistic independence is the cornerstone of who we are as a public broadcaster. Suggesting otherwise is inaccurate and untrue.”
The horrible untruth that the Canadian Ministry of Truth is attempting to conceal (even from themselves) is that the Orwellian brain fog is so thick that even the top CBC editors are unaware that they are propaganda agents. The consummate liar does not know he is a liar.
The BBC and NPR news outlets were similarly labeled “state-affiliated media,” but were changed to “government-funded media” after some whining and grovelling:
“NPR’s organizational accounts will no longer be active on Twitter because the platform is taking actions that undermine our credibility by falsely implying that we are not editorially independent,” the NPR news organization said in a statement Wednesday.
Though I hate to flog a CIA horse, I can’t shake the nagging feeling that Elon Musk is trolling not only the CBC, BBC, and NPR, but he is also trolling the truth. As I have documented in earlier articles, Musk has a long history of deep state CIA connections. His first partners were CIA agents.
Musk is long time pals with former In-Q-Tel COO Michael Griffin who is now the US Under Secretary of Defense. In-Q-Tel is a venture capital company that funds projects for the CIA. Griffin and Musk took a trip together to Russia with engineer Jim Cantrell, to buy used ICBM’s in 2001. Rockets were going for $2 million in Russia, compared to prices of $80 to $100 million elsewhere.
The truth is at stake. At the heart of the Freedom Movement is the battle for the truth. Whoever controls the flow of information, controls the people. Is it preferable that government-funded corporations like the CBC control the flow of information or billionaire CIA agents? Unless, of course, we are witnessing another elaborate psychological operation, designed to corral conservatives into a CIA-created echo chamber where they can be manipulated and slowly steered into the slaughterhouse.
Adjacent to his rebranding of CBC, Elon Musk was interviewed by Tucker Carlson the same day.
Carlson innocently asks, “You were shocked to find out that various intel agencies were affecting Twitter's operations?” Elon Musk answered with equal obliviousness: “The degree to which various government agencies had effectively full access to everything that was going on, on Twitter, blew my mind.”
We are therefore led to believe that all the various government agencies suddenly disappeared as soon as Elon walked through the doors of Twitter, carrying a bathroom sink.
Twitter has a long relationship with CIA-affiliated Reuters, which is owned by Canadian mega-billionaire Thomson family. The Thomson family business is booming, incidentally. Similar to the rest of the Billionaire Club, they experienced massive increase in profits during the last three years while the rest of the world was under house arrest. Thomson Reuters net worth climbed from $31.6 billion in 2020 to $54.4 billion in 2023.
The media, acting in lockstep, claims Musk’s electric car company Tesla’s shares had a significant gain in 2020, jumping from $147/share in 2020 to a high of $402/share in 2022, and this is why his fortune went through the roof. Today, Tesla shares sit at a comfortable $187/share. According to Forbes, he increased his net wealth from $24.6 billion in 2020 to $219 billion in 2023. The numbers don’t seem to add up.
Amid more dubious claims, Elon Musk says he bought Twitter for altruistic goals of protecting free speech. Billionaires spend every waking minute of their lives plotting how to make more money. Media outlets are united in their claims that Twitter is haemorrhaging money, and Musk confirmed in the interview with Carlson that Twitter’s value is at half since he bought it.
However, he fired 6500 of Twitter’s 8000 employees. If each was making $50K, it would be a savings of $325 million a year in wages. And that would be a conservative estimate — according to a recent study by Business Insider, the average salary at Twitter is between $122,000 to $332,000. This would put the yearly savings into the billion dollar category.
While I am writing this, in a moment of Jungian synchronicity, I just received an email from Twitter, announcing it had renamed the company to X Corp.
There is much to say about this sudden change of name, but that rabbit hole will have to wait for another day. Stay tuned for an in-depth article on the subject of Elon’s fascination/obsession with the letter ‘X’.
