My Facebook feed is suddenly overflowing with End Times Christians posting their undying support for Israel and slamming Islam. Every time Israel starts bombing Gaza, this generally happens. Many alternative commentators, such as Jordan Peterson, Ezra Levant, and Ben Shapiro have come out of the closet, and are stumping for Israel.
Just for reference: IF YOU ARE POSTING IN CAPITAL LETTERS ON FACEBOOK, IT MEANS YOU ARE PROBABLY A RELIGIOUS FANATIC!!! (Don’t forget to include lots of exclamation marks!!!!!)
All three Abrahamic religions claim Jerusalem is their holy city. And all three Abrahamic religions believe the Messiah will come, make holy war with the infidels/pagans/terrorists and make them the rulers of the Earth. What could go wrong?
Much of the conflict in the Middle East is being fuelled by a multitude of concepts about the so-called End Times. The Abrahamic religions are all rooting for God/Allah/Yahweh to kick the ass of the other religious groups and make them Top Dog.
Here’s a brief list of concepts that are more or less common to all three faiths:
The anti-Christ will appear
A period of tribulation ( 7 years for Christians, and 3 periods for Muslims)
Gog and Magog will appear
A great Beast will rear its ugly head
God will return the holy land to its rightful owner
The Messiah will come/return
God will raise up a regent to usher in an age of justice and peace, the Messianic Age
God will resurrect the dead
God will create a new heaven and earth
Final Day of Judgement
The Great Disappointment
In this author’s humble opinion, all three Abrahamic religions are headed for a Great Disappointment, similar to what happened to the Adventist Church in 1844.
A Baptist preacher from New York, William Miller, predicted that the Second Coming of Jesus of Nazareth would occur on October 22, 1844, based on his study of the prophecy of the Book of Daniel:
“Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”
~ Daniel 8:14
This non-event occurred during the Great Second Awakening, a Protestant revival in the United States. Many of the disappointed followers of Miller formed the Seventh Day Adventist movement. Henry Emmons, one of Miller’s most devout followers wrote after the non-event:
“I waited all Tuesday [October 22] and dear Jesus did not come;—I waited all the forenoon of Wednesday, and was well in body as I ever was, but after 12 o'clock I began to feel faint, and before dark I needed someone to help me up to my chamber, as my natural strength was leaving me very fast, and I lay prostrate for 2 days without any pain—sick with disappointment.”
One of Miller’s churches was burnt to the ground, and two other churches were vandalized in Dansville, New York and Scottsville, Kentucky. In Loraine, Illinois, a mob attacked the congregation with clubs and knives. Another group in Toronto was tarred and feathered, and shots were fired at another Canadian group meeting in a private house.
When theology and reality meet, it is always reality that is the winner.
What the Hell is Going On Then?
I’d thought you’d never ask. Assuming you made it this far, (and you’re not composing a nasty email to rebuke my exegesis of Ezekiel, Daniel and Revelation), I would like to offer an alternative explanation to the nihilism and fatalism of End Times prophecies.
First thing though, it should be pointed out that much of End Times prophecy is in reality, self-fulfilling prophecy. The idea that it is God’s will (Inshallah) (im yirẓeh Hashem) that the entire world needs to descend into a nightmare of war, chaos, famine and suffering is patently absurd. No matter which Abrahamic faith you subscribe to, one of the core tenants is the belief in the sanctity and holiness of God. He (or she) can do no wrong. A God that does evil is not God.
As an additional note, Lucifer is considered the evil one. God good, devil bad. That’s basic theology 101.
To continue, the events we are witnessing on the world stage are the culmination, or result of, about 500 years of history, mostly Western European history. There is a series of events that have led us to this moment in time, and if I am not mistaken, there will be a predictable series of events forthcoming.
The Briefest History of the World Ever

To make it super easy, I’ve skipped about a million years of history to get to the part that’s relevant. That’s how we roll here at FreePolitik.
1440 AD - Gutenberg Printing Press. Our modern history began in 1440 AD with the invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg. This single invention revolutionized the world in multiple ways.
1517 AD - Martin Luther nails his 95 Thesis (Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences) on the door of the Wittenberg Church. This would not have been a significant event, if it weren’t for the invention of the printing press, because Luther printed copies of his 95 Thesis and spread it all over Europe. This was the beginning of the end of the Christian church’s dominance over political life in Europe. It was also the beginning of a revolution in civil rights, the secular revolt, the Protestant Reformation and indirectly the catalyst for the scientific revolution. None of which were things that Luther intended. He just wanted a reformation of the existing church.
1543 AD - Copernicus published his book On the Revolution of the Heavenly Spheres, which overturned the established Earth-centric model of the universe and formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than Earth at its center. This is considered the beginning of the Scientific Revolution because every astronomer in Europe received a copy, again owing to the Gutenberg printing press.
1648 - Treaty of Westphalia - Beginning of the nation-state system, and the beginning of the end of the feudal monarchy system.
1674 AD - Modern Atheism is Born. Matthias Knutzen published three pamphlets explicitly denying the existence of God. At the time, he was called “The only person on record who openly professed and taught atheism.”
1687 AD - The Enlightenment - Isaac Newton publishes his ground-breaking book Principia that explained his theory of gravity and the laws of motion. This book is the beginning of the revolution in physics and along with other books written by Descartes, Spinoza, and Leibniz, is considered the beginning of the Enlightenment.
1700 AD - The Agricultural Revolution which began in Britain and spread over Europe vastly improved crop yields. It also led to the Industrial Revolution.
1760 AD - The Industrial Revolution - This transition included going from hand production methods to machines; new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes; the increasing use of water power and steam power; the development of machine tools; and the rise of the mechanized factory system.
1772 AD - Encyclopédie (Systematic Dictionary of the Sciences, Arts, and Crafts) - edited by Denis Diderot, this massive tome took 20 years to complete. The Encyclopédie is most famous for representing the thought of the Enlightenment. According to Denis Diderot, the Encyclopédie’s aim was “to change the way people think”, and for “the people to be able to inform themselves and to know things.” And it did, in fact, do that. The single most influential book of its time.
1776 AD - American Revolution and the signing of the American Constitution in 1789 which led to the birth of democracies with civil rights included in their charters.
1789 AD - French Revolution. Although it was chaotic bloodbath, it also started the ball rolling in Europe for a civil rights revolution due to the signing of the Rights of Man, inspired by Thomas Jefferson who was American ambassador to France at the time.
1848 AD - The Communist Manifesto - Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels published their political/economic pamphlet that eventually led to over 40 nations converting to a communist/socialist system.
1914 AD - World War I - the Great War that was never supposed to happen. Optimism was high in Europe previous to the war. The beginning of totalitarian secular states.
1917 AD - Russian Revolution - a Communist Leninist revolution in October 1917 overthrew the Menshevik Party that was installed in March 1917. The beginning of the USSR and 72 years of communism until 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell.
1939 AD - World War II - Germany invades Poland. The rise of Nazism/Fascism and the military police state. State propaganda is born. WW2 resulted in the expansion of both the Soviet and American Empires.
1941 AD - The Managerial Revolution - James Burnham publishes his prescient book that predicts a new form of capitalism will emerge. Society will be governed by elite managers. The inspiration for both George Orwell’s 1984 and Klaus Schwab’s Stakeholder Capitalism. [George Orwell’s essay: Second Thoughts on James Burnham]
1944 AD - Bretton Woods system established - over 50 nations agreed to a new global economic system that placed the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
1946 AD - The United Nations convenes its first assembly of 51 nations in London.
1947 AD - Partition Plan for Palestine - The United Nations resolution 181 recommended dividing up Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states.
1948 AD - The Universal Declaration of Human Rights - Eleanor Roosevelt formed a committee to create the first international document that protects the civil rights of every citizen on Earth.
1948 AD - The Cold War - Following WW2, the world immediately plunges into a protracted war of attrition between two superpowers who fight for the conquest of Eurasia.
1971 AD - The World Economic Forum is created by Henry Kissinger, Herman Kahn and John Kenneth Galbraith at Harvard University with a $135,000 grant from the CIA. The beginning of a global foreign policy think tank, managed by Klaus Schwab, son of a NAZI.
1989 AD - The Berlin Wall Falls - The end of the Soviet system and political communism. The rise of the Stakeholder Capitalist WEF system.
1990 AD - The World Wide Web is created by Tim Berners-Lee - An international revolution in communications and information that might save us and/or enslave us.
2001 AD - Twin Towers Destruction - The beginning of a 20-year Global War On Terror (GWOT) campaign in the Middle East that cost $8 trillion, killed 5 million people and displaced another 38 million people. Massive expansion of the US police state, surveillance and intelligence agencies. Suppression of civil rights and freedoms.
2015 AD - The Fourth Industrial Revolution inaugurated by WEF Klaus Schwab: “We stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work, and relate to one another. In its scale, scope, and complexity, the transformation will be unlike anything humankind has experienced before.”
2020 AD - Covid-19 Pandemic - The beginning of a massive complex of changes in the global economy, healthcare, combined with political and social restructuring. The WEF goals were pushed forward on a global scale. Mass surveillance, QR codes introduced, mandatory mask wearing and coerced mRNA injections. The beginning of a global totalitarian police state. Global institutions such as the WHO took over management of society. The extent of the power of the WEF was revealed as the entire United Nations of 195 countries submitted to an unelected international oversight committee.
The Shortest Summary Ever of the Briefest History of the World Ever
The mother that gave birth to our current mess is the totalitarian Christian Church. The father is the godless atheistic scientific attitude of the Enlightenment thinkers who rebelled against the Church. They also started the scientific revolution and the revolution in civil rights and freedoms. Two steps forward, one step back. They rebelled against the Church, but they went too far, and began a revolt against God himself. Atheism is literally Against Godism.
The secular revolt resulted in amazing advances in science and technology, but alternately it has produced the unintended consequences of civil unrest and world wars. The last century resulted in a whopping 200 million deaths due to war. And this century looks like it is headed for an even higher casualty count. With the advances in modern weapons since WW2, the casualties could be in the billions, not millions.
We cannot give up the gains we have made in civil rights and freedoms. That is what we are all fighting for, whether Christian, Muslim or Jewish. Both the Palestinians and Israeli citizens want the right to live peacefully. Their leaders and the totalitarian states their leaders represent want something else.
Salvation Literally Means Survival
Human beings need God, whether they care to admit it or not.
Neither communism, socialism, fascism or capitalism will save us. No political or economic system will save us from world war, civil unrest and world wide disaster.
The totalitarian state is the result of abandoning God. Plain and simple. The secular revolt traded an ecclesiastical empire for a secular police state. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
The emerging international totalitarian state is the biggest threat to humanity that we have ever faced.
The Future
If we survey the last 500 years of human history, one thing stands out:
REVOLUTION
Modern history has been a series of revolutions in all areas: politics, science, economics, social, cultural, agricultural, industrial, computers, transportation, communication and information. The one revolution that is yet to happen is the forthcoming spiritual revolution.
Any movement that hopes to counter the globalist power structure MUST unite spiritually. The religious people who are unable to partner with other religious groups in this monumental struggle for freedom are USELESS. Avoid them like the plague, because they are not interested in winning this war. They are only interested in promoting and protecting their own special interest group.
The spiritual revolution will happen on a global scale when we create the foundation of an international movement that unites all people, and it must be based on common universal values that we all share.
Muslims, Christians, Jews, Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists and New Age people must be motivated by a love of all humanity that is based on the recognition that we are all brothers and sisters, part of a great universal family. We are guided and inspired by a great Creator Mother Father Source of stupendous spiritual wisdom. This being, however you choose to identify him/her/they, is capable of steering the world to safer harbours and restoring our battered, wounded planet to sanity, health and well-being.
