Estimates vary, but somewhere between 1 million and 9 million protestors took to the streets over the weekend in various cities throughout France. The chaos began on January 19th, when French President Macron rammed pension reform legislation through parliament that increased the retirement age from 62 to 64.
Strikes by all of France’s trade unions have been labelled a “rare show of unity”, with transport and energy workers, teachers, dockers and public sector workers having gone on strike. The social anger was fuelled because Macron used special constitutional powers to force the pension reforms through the legislature. This is not the first time Macron has bypassed parliament. Over the last two years, he has pushed forward eleven dictatorial edicts, invoking article 49.3 of the French constitution.
Paris garbage collectors have left the city a rubbish heap.

The protests spread throughout France and gained significant momentum after a planned visit by King Charles III was forced to be postponed due to national security fears. Macron said the royal visit likely would have become their target, which risked creating a “detestable situation.”
In a pitched battle between police and environmental activists, at a reservoir in the western rural France region, reports emerged that police used over 4,000 non-lethal dispersion grenades against protestors. Police claimed only 6 protestors were injured and 23 police officers suffered lighter injuries, but protest organizers said they counted some 200 injured demonstrators — 40 of them had deep cuts that were caused by police projectiles.

The city hall in Bordeaux was set on fire, much to the delight of jubilant protestors. The mainstream media, per usual, are noticeably silent. A brief check through CBC, CNN and Global News reveals some articles about Taylor Swift, the new Kardashians show and a brain-numbing article about the effects of jet lag. Yawn. When Rome burned, Nero fiddled, but when Paris is burning, the media can’t even play a good tune.
President Macron, in a 30-minute televised interview doubled-down and refused to back down. French union representatives and opposition accused the president of ignoring the public mood. Philippe Martinez, the head of the trade union CGT, said the president had shown “contempt for the millions of people who are protesting”.

One of the largest public protest occurred at the Bastille in Paris, the site of the catalyst for the French Revolution. The Bastille was stormed by 900 armed protestors in July of 1789. The protestors had already broken into the armoury, and stole cannons, but they needed the 250 barrels of gunpowder that were stored there. A battle ensued, with a hundred casualties among the protestors, who eventually prevailed. The Bastille has long been a symbol of the revolution.

Police brutality against unarmed, peaceful protestors is well-documented by independent media. Though it is true, that the “revolution will not be televised,” it is also true that it will be captured for posterity for all the world to see, by independent journalists. The voice of the people did not cease, just because the mainstream media abdicated their responsibility and betrayed the trust given to them by the people.

Many of the 15,000 police that Macron deployed, took off their helmets and joined the protestors, a good sign that the people may win this battle. It could be too early to predict, but the possibility of civil war exists, if Macron is foolish enough to bring out the military.

Macron may have no choice, but to obey his World Economic Forum master, Klaus Schwab. Macron is also a former Rothschild investment banker. In September 2008, he joined the French division of the international Rothschild financial group, as an investment banker. Macron advanced quickly within the company, and in 2012, he brokered Nestlé’s mega $12 billion acquisition of Pfizer’s baby food division. Macron reportedly earned $3.8 million for his role in the deal. A wealthy puppet is still a puppet, he is beholden to the puppet masters who made him.
The global elites are orchestrating their own destruction. Their egocentric tendency to think of themselves as invincible will be their downfall, for pride goes before a fall. The more they push their agenda, the more pushback and civil unrest there will be, which will, in turn, expose their deeds for all the world to see. Everything they worked for, will be handed over to citizens who are more loyal to the people.
Vive la France, vive la liberté, vive la révolution!
