Listen to an audio reading of this article:
European MP Christine Anderson flew into town this week, and caused quite a stir, by daring to associate with Canadians, despite her “vile” and “racist” views. Pierre Poilievre (so far) has said nothing about his comments, probably because he is huddled with his advisors, trying to plot damage control.
These alleged statements from Poilievre come from Toronto Sun Brian Lilley who tweeted on Friday February 24 that he “ … asked Poilievre’s office for comment on the meeting of 3 MPs and Christine Anderson. I received this comment from Pierre via text from a senior Poilievre staffer, someone I’ve known for well over a decade. Many apparently think it’s fake. It’s not or Poilievre would say so.”

The sin of association that Conservatives have allegedly committed is due to Christine Anderson’s German party affiliation with the Alternative for Germany (German: Alternative für Deutschland, AfD). The AfD are opposed to excessive Muslim immigration and push for Germany exiting the EU. Anderson was also a vocal supporter of the Truckers’ Convoy:
This according to some, makes Anderson, and anyone associated with her, a political leper. The lepers need to be unpersoned and excommunicated from society due to their heresies and uncleanness. She also appeared on Rebel Media to double down on her support for Canada’s Freedom Convoy. In an interview with Ezra Levant, she stated: “It is simply not enough for just a handful of politicians to stand up and raise their voices against this whole COVID madness, this is not enough — we need the people taking to the streets.”
Conservative MP’s Colin Carrie, Dean Allison and even tragically, Leslyn Lewis, bent over backwards to apologize and self-flagellate on Twitter:

The Twitter trolls predictably played the Nazi card and branded Anderson a neo-Nazi, far-right extremist with unacceptable views, especially considering she does not want people to be forced to inject themselves with toxic waste.
Despite Poilievre’s non-stop attacks against Trudeau, he did find it in his heart, to overlook his differences with the Prime Minister, and do a little Ukraine cheerleading with Doug Ford:

Max Bernier came out on top of the hatefest, by showing some love for Anderson. He defended Anderson, calling out Poilievre’s remarks: “What a truly disgusting statement and baseless attack on a courageous woman who did more to defend freedom in Canada during covid than he did.”
Bernier has consistently risked his political career by calling out Justin Trudeau’s blatant lies during the Emergency Act Inquiry. Deafening silence from Poilievre. Max called out the insane EA Inquiry report and Rouleau being a liberal hack. More crickets from Poilievre.

Poilievre has played a cagey card game over the last three years, attempting to balance the center of the CPC with the alternative/Libertarian wing of the party. At his rallies, that attracted thousands, he talked about freedom and the economy, and promised to defund the CBC, gaining for himself some momentum on the Canadian political stage. Enough to win the Conservative party leadership. Too bad, so sad for Pierre because he may have just sunk his populist boat:

Christine Anderson was asked for comment on Polievre’s reaction. She said, “I will not apologize for that... No one gets to define me. I know what I stand for, I know exactly who I am.”
And what really started all this drama? A photo of Anderson posing with the Diagolon flag, which is a joke that pokes fun at the insanity that confronts us all every day in the political arena. The world is literally gone mad and the inmates are running the asylum.

Pierre Poilievre Blows His Cover
Thanks Rik - I was hearing ripples looking for sources of info - this spells things out and helps me realize why I never trusted Poilievre in the first place! Love Christine Anderson!!!
We need Leslyn Lewis to get on board with Maxime Bernier - a much better match for her!
Perhaps the lewd comments made towards Poilievre's wife have some warrant.
