Putin's Russia Versus the United States of Gay
Listen to an audio reading of this article:
President-for-Life Vladimir Putin, went full-auto against the woke American culture in his speech today. But not before he dropped a bombshell (pun intended) — “I am forced to announce today that Russia is suspending its participation in the strategic offensive arms treaty.” Putin was careful to emphasize Russia “ … is not withdrawing from the treaty, but is suspending its participation.” You say tomato, I say tomato.
The New START treaty was signed in Prague in 2010 and it was extended for another five years in 2021 by United States President Joe Biden. It limits the number of strategic nuclear warheads that the United States and Russia can deploy, and also the deployment of land and submarine-based missiles and bombers to deliver them. Russia and the United States hold 90% of the world’s nuclear weapons, each owning about 6000 warheads.
Those attending the packed hall were absolutely riveted with Putin’s coma-inducing 1-hour and 40 minute speech:
Russian journalist, Dmitry Svetin, who writes a column for RIA Katyusha wondered why, “today in St. Petersburg there is just a clear sky, without traces of geoengineering. Perhaps, in honour of Putin’s message to the Federal Assembly, they decided not to use chemicals?”
Putin showed some epic sympathy for the dead and wounded soldiers: “I understand how hard it is for the families of the fallen soldiers,” but it’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make for the Motherland, Russia, oil, territorial expansion and stuff.
Saving the best for last, Putin finally woke up the sleepy crowd with a blistering attack on Western nations supporting Ukraine: “They distort historical facts and constantly attack our culture, the Russian Orthodox Church, and other traditional religions of our country … As it became known, the Anglican Church plans to consider the idea of a gender-neutral God … Millions of people in the West understand they are being led to a real spiritual catastrophe. Look at what they do to their own people: the destruction of families, of cultural and national identities and the perversion that is child abuse all the way up to pedophilia, are advertised as the norm … and priests are forced to bless same-sex marriages.”
President Putin did receive a standing ovation after quoting Stolypin: “In the matter of defending Russia, we must all unite, coordinate efforts, duties and rights to maintain one historical supreme right – the right of Russia to be strong.” Special note on Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin, who was the third prime minister and the interior minister of the Russian Empire from 1906 until his assassination in 1911. Considered the greatest reformer of Russian society and economy, his reforms caused unprecedented growth of the Russian state. Hurray for Stolypin.
Putin then laid out a laundry list of reforms — no property tax for families with 2 or more children, housing for young scientists, training programs for 1 million specialists for the electronics, robotics, nuclear and other industries in 5 years. Added to this, he increased the minimum wage, announced interest-free loans for infrastructure projects, 400 new schools to be built and renovations for 3500 schools. Obviously, the SMO has not slowed down the Russian domestic budget.
Russian media commentators were, however unimpressed and complained of the lack of substance in Putin’s speech.
And speaking of blah, blah, blah, President and used car salesman, Joe Biden, delivered a speech of his own to a theatrical gathering in Warsaw, Poland. “This war has already been a strategic failure for Russia already.” Addressing the Russian people directly, President Biden said, “You, the Russian people, are not our enemy,” later adding, “This war is not worthy of you, the Russian people.” At the end of his rant, President Biden gave Russian President Putin a parting shot, saying, “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”
Plus Biden can get you heated seats and an extended warranty on a used Corolla …
The day before the big Warsaw bash, Biden snuck off to Kyiv, to pay a surprise visit to his best pal, Ukrainian President and B-grade actor Volodymyr Zelensky. During which time, more speeches about freedom and democracy and tanks and bombs. Zelensky, dressed in a fashionable John Deere tractor outfit, showed Biden his eternal gratitude for Biden’s announced delivery of “critical equipment, including artillery ammunition, anti-armor systems, and air surveillance radars.”

For its own part in the Gay Wars, the Ukraine has loosened up restrictions on the LGBTQ community since the 2014 coup of the Russia-friendly government, whose new Western-backed regime amended labor laws in 2015 to ban discrimination against LGBTQ people in the workplace. Support for gay rights is still low in Ukraine, with a recent survey by “Ratings” organization showing 47% of respondents have a negative view of the LGBTQ+ community.
Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church said gay pride parades were part of the reason for the war in Ukraine. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, a steady ally of Russian President Putin, said that the conflict in Donbas is about “a fundamental rejection of the so-called values that are offered today by those who claim world power.”
Kirill claims that the test of whether a nation wants to join the club of those seeking world power is if the country holds a gay pride event. “Around this topic today there is a real war,” he said.
Weaponizing the gay community in pursuit of geopolitical goals seems to be a pattern employed with great success by the neoliberal West. The LGBTQ movement have shown themselves to be competent organizers and savvy with social media. It is also difficult to oppose a minority group’s quest for equal rights, for the simple reason it is easy to make those opposed look bad by accusations of bigotry, racism, homophobia and far-right nationalism.
On the subject of nationalism, the globalists are fiercely committed to destroying nationalism — it is, in fact, the number one threat to their dreams of a New World Order.
The nation-state system has to be destroyed along with all those who advocate national self-interest, sovereignty and patriotism. The Gay Wars are a symptom, not the problem however. The liberal gay community are naturally more inclined towards collectivism and internationalism. They are indifferent to nationalism, because they value diversity and inclusivity more, therefore their outlook is geared towards greater immigration, tearing down national boundaries and having a rainbow culture where everyone is free to be themselves and express themselves. This of course, includes sexual diversity and gender identity.
Russia is a traditional society and the LGBTQ movement is seen as a direct threat to Russian culture and civilization. Putin himself can weaponize anti-gay sentiment to his advantage to stir up national interest in maintaining the special military operation in Ukraine. The Ukrainians are sharply divided on this subject, and what may happen is the partition of the country into a gay-friendly western Ukraine and Russian -friendly eastern Ukraine.
East is east and west is west, and never the twain shall meet. Although, this might be a worn out line, western liberal culture might have to make some concessions to traditional cultures like Russia, and cease to impose its values upon them.
