This is a fair question to ask in today’s political climate where power brokers like the WEF, Bill Gates and the Mainstream Media have gained exponential control over political parties and their leaders.
After my last post about Pierre Poilievre’s condemnation of Christine Anderson, many of my readers asked “Do you think Max Bernier is a shill too?!”
I have to confess that the Freedom Movement is a little paranoid (if you haven’t noticed). Maybe rightly so. We’ve been deceived and ripped off by politicians more times than we can count. We don’t want to get fooled into supporting a politician, only to find out he or she has deep state WEF connections. Some people in the Freedom community have become so completely turned off by the system, they want nothing to do with it anymore. Can you blame them?
How can we tell if someone is controlled opposition?
In my humble opinion, there are a few hot button topics that reveal everything:
US/NATO Foreign Policy
Immigration policy
Accusations of Racism
Vaccination policy
US/NATO Foreign Policy
The globalists are not that concerned with domestic issues, but they are very concerned that politicians support their foreign policy agenda. Max Bernier, since his tenure as Canada’s foreign minister under the Harper regime was against the US/NATO wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he is currently not supporting the war in the Ukraine.

The media, and so-called leftists who repeat the media mantras, love to categorize the political dissidents as “alt-right”, “far-right” and “right-wing extremists,” but the truth is people like Bernier are moderates. The political climate has become so skewed and distorted that someone like Trudeau is considered center-left, but the reality is the globalists are not even on the political spectrum, because their agenda bears no relationship to either left, right or center. Secondly, the leftism practiced by today’s left has nothing to do with traditional liberal, socialist or even Marxist ideology. Although many, from both the left and the right fumble to place the “New Left” under these umbrellas.
Marxism is about class, not race or gender or sexuality. The ideology of the New Left is a completely different beast, and deserves to be rebranded. The New Left does not fight for the working classes anymore. People like Bernie Sanders are the old guard, who actually did fight for minorities and the working classes, whether you agree with Sanders’ democratic socialism or not.
Marxists and communists used labour unions as a hammer and anvil to pound out their class-based policies, but the New Left are being used by the same corporate capitalists that Marxists despise. Gender and sexuality are used as weapons to silence critics who oppose the agenda of the globalists.
The Truckers’ Convoy are broadly representative of the agricultural working class. The New Left have nothing but contempt for them. They brand agricultural Canadians as rednecks, hicks, uneducated and of course, racist — because the majority of Canada’s farming population are white, and are therefore guilty of the sin of whiteness.
Immigration Policy
The Liberal Party is currently fast-tracking a massive wave of almost 900,000 Ukrainian refugees into Canada. I documented in my previous post that the Conservative Party fully supports this:
In contrast, the People’s Party of Canada has a limited immigration policy, capping immigration to 100k to 150k per year. The Liberal Party allowed over 400,000 new immigrants into Canada in 2021, an unprecedented number. All the more alarming, considering Canada was supposedly still in the throes of a global pandemic. Bernier has been quite forthright in his immigration stance.
The globalists have an agenda of swamping western nations with immigrants in order to transform the west into “post-national” states. You cannot have a global government unless nations give up sovereignty. As James Warburg infamously stated, “We shall have world government, whether or not we like it. The question is only whether world government will be achieved by consent or by conquest.” Therefore, the supreme enemy of the globalists is nationalism.
Accusations of Racism
In November 26, 2019, CBC News reported that a secretly recorded audio revealed political strategist Warren Kinsella told employees working on a campaign against the People's Party of Canada that leader Maxime Bernier was a “racist” and a “white supremacist” who would be easy to expose in the lead-up to the federal election campaign. Kinsella has been dubbed the Prince of Darkness by Macleans because, “His political books are thick with tales of dirty tricks and nasty business in Ottawa’s corridors of power, and he is an admitted, and most gleeful practitioner of both.”
According to the Globe and Mail, it was the Conservative Party who hired Kinsella’s Daisy Group. Called “Project Cactus,” the campaign against Bernier and the PPC was run by Kinsella’s political consulting firm, Daisy Group. Kinsella made the comments during a staff meeting about the campaign in May.
“I want the hatred you have for Maxime Bernier to wash over you as a purifying force,” Kinsella advised his staff in the recording, made during a meeting on May 16. “There's nobody in the country doing what we're doing to Max Bernier.”
Kinsella issued a statement, which he published on his personal website:
“We do not discuss client matters publicly. It is up to the client to make public the relationship,” Kinsella wrote. “The extremism found in the People’s Party of Canada is far worse, and far more pervasive, than anything I experienced before. We were, and are, very proud to shine a light on the many extremists found in the People’s Party of Canada.”
Bernier’s billboard campaign triggered a storm of criticism for its non-woke sins. The company that hosted the billboards repented immediately for their transgressions. Frank Smeenk, the head of the ironically named, True North Strong & Free Advertising Corp, bent over backwards to appease the Church of Wokeness. “We completely disavow any sympathy with or support for the views expressed by donors who paid for and selected the content of their advertising, which we were mistakenly not afforded an opportunity to first approve,” Smeenk wrote in an email to The Canadian Press.
Smeenk went on to say, with a straight face, that his company “was created as a vehicle to help third-party activists promote their views prior to the upcoming election with the intention that this would be welcomed as an innovative way to participate in our democratic process.” Riiight. All views are welcome, but some views are more welcome than others.
Needless to say, the signs were taken down.
Accusations of racism are invariably included with accusations of misogyny, extremism, anti-semitism, and homophobia. I discussed in a previous article that Pierre Poilievre showed his true colours when he played the race card to denounce Christine Anderson for her supposed “vile racist remarks.” Nobody seems to be able to produce evidence of these alleged remarks. Poilievre even accused Anderson of anti-semitism which makes no sense at all. If someone is guilty of Islamaphobia, does that suddenly make them an anti-semite as well? To be found guilty of racism is to be guilty of the whole laundry list of “sins against the state.”
Vaccination Policy
Bernier and the PPC were pretty clear on their non-enthusiasm for locking down the entire planet. Taken right from the PPC website: “Lockdowns, mask mandates, school closures, and other authoritarian sanitary measures have not had any noticeable effect on the course of the pandemic.” One especially cheerful recommendation is to, “Fire the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada Theresa Tam and replace her with someone who will work with provincial agencies …”
The rest says it all:
Repeal vaccine mandates and regular testing for federal civil servants and workers in federally regulated industries.
Repeal vaccine passports for travellers.
Oppose vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, and other authoritarian measures imposed by provincial governments, and support individuals and groups that challenge such measures in court.
Poilievre ran on a “freedom platform,” but seems to have cut his loses, and abandoned the Fringe after his denunciation of MEP Christine Anderson. At the outset of the pandemic, Liberals, Conservatives, NDP and even the Greens pushed for vaccination.

One of the criticisms of Bernier was his choice of Johanne Mennie as his original executive director who allegedly has ties to the Tides Foundation and George Soros. Okay, first of all Soros is not the founder or CEO of Tides. Secondly, he is recorded as donating only $3.5 million to Tides, chump change for George. According to IRS disclosure documents from 2007-2009, Soros’ Open Society gave grants of $3.5 million to Tides. George probably makes that much every day. Tides annual budget is over a billion dollars. Major Donors (total contributions 2012-present):
NoVo Foundation $54,418,085
New Field Foundation $8,227,958
David and Lucile Packard Foundation $4,089,000
Foundation For A Just Society $600,000
Does the Freedom community have some obsession with George Soros? The accusations hurled at Bernier are that Johanne Mennie attended some meetings that were supposedly funded by Tides and/or advocated globalist policies. Usually, these accusations are centered around the Conservative Party’s interest in “social economy.” (EEK! Socialism! Commies everywhere!)
The cited article claims Mennie is part of some secretive company called “Canada, Inc.” The address in the article is 284 Wellington Street, Ottawa. An easy search on google reveals it is the offices of the Department of Justice, Canada, where Mennie worked as director during the Harper government. Hello?
If all you look for are conspiracies and controlled opposition, that’s all you will find. By the way, every single leader in the Freedom Movement has been accused of being “controlled opposition,” at one time or another, including yours truly. Excuse me, I have to take this call, it’s George Soros . . .

Who is Max Bernier?
EXCELLENT article. I’m being pressured to vote CPC as the ONLY hope to rid ourselves of the liberal scourge. I really like the PPC and I did vote for them last time but apparently it’s MY FAULT we’ve suffered another hellish Trudeau term because I split the vote…
