As an outsider, I interpret the facts as showing a gloomy future for the USA. The next presidential election has put a senile elephant and a crazy donkey on the starting blocks.
Is there somebody from the currently running candidate that can dethrone those two giants of the past from winning the next election?
In my opinion, the USA, and the world, need somebody else than Biden and Trump.
In human history, only those who seek power ever got to exercise it. I understand that they are the last people power should be given to.

"People's power exercised by representatives"
to...
"People exercising legislative power themselves, leaving residual powers to delegates".
That would need people much more educated than they are now.
